Jussie Smollett Claims Lucious Lyon Hired the Nigerians to Beat Him Up to Boost Sales for Empire Records
Chicago, IL — In a bombshell statement during the Jussie Smollett court case, Jussie’s legal team claimed that high-powered record producer Lucious Lyon, CEO of Empire Entertainment, hired the Nigerian brothers to beat up Jussie Smollett in an effort to boost the record company’s sales & street credibility.
A representative from Jussie’s legal asked one of the Nigerian brothers the following, “Who hired you?”
One of the brothers responded by saying, “A light skin guy pulled up in a limousine and asked us to get in. He said to us, ‘Aye mayne, here’s $20K….go beat up Jussie so we can get Empire’s street cred up mayne.'”
The prosecution is scheduled to called Lucious Lyon to testify tomorrow.
