Tesla’s “Bulletproof” Cybertruck is Celebrated by Gang Members

Elon Musk recently debuted Tesla’s newest addition to its line of vehicles called the Cybertruck. The Cybertruck is a space aged looking pickup truck purposely designed to standout amongst a crowded market. The vehicle has bold sharp lines and edges that make it seem like more of a vehicle for exploring another planet as opposed to a vehicle made for driving around the streets here on Earth.

Even with its bold, yet weird looking design, Tesla states that the Cybertruck has very competitive specs such as 250 miles of range, a tow rating of 7,500 pounds, and a 0 to 60 mph time of 6.5 seconds. The starting price is $39,900. The dual-motor version starts at $49,000 and can tow 10,000 pounds and reach 60 mph within 4.5 seconds with a 300 mile range. The top of the line model starts at $69,000, can travel more than 500 miles, tow 14,000 pounds and can reach 60 mph in under 3 seconds. Not bad.

One particular feature that stood out during the debut of the Cybertruck was Elon Musk’s claim that the windows are essentially bulletproof. During a demonstration, a gentleman was asked to throw a steel ball at the windows to demonstrate that the windows would not crack, but unfortunately they did crack. Later footage was shown to demonstrate that in fact the windows were “bulletproof”, so the vehicle they had on the stage was probably just a fluke. Regardless, even after the failed “bulletproof” demonstration, Elon Musk boasted on Twitter that there were already 146k orders in place for the Cybertruck.

Aside from obvious tech enthusiasts placing orders for the truck, surprisingly it has been revealed that a lot of gang members have high interest in the Cybertruck as well. Bobby Johnson, known on the streets as OG Bobby Johnson, just happened to be at the Tesla Cybertruck event. When asked his opinion about the truck, Bobby stated the bulletproof aspect about the vehicle was what sold him. Bobby said that in his line of work, having a bulletproof vehicle is a necessity in order for him to operate his business and protect his assets from competition. Bobby Johnson stated, “As soon as the homies get their hands on one of these Cybertrucks, it’s going to be a whole new ballgame in the streets of South Central Los Angeles. Some real work is about to get put in and a whole lot of bustas are gonna start recognizing.”
